In response to the current and forecasted extreme temperatures and abnormally dry to severe drought conditions we have no other choice than to implement emergency watering restrictions. These emergency restrictions are in order to provide water for fire protection and domestic needs as well as to provide adequate time for the system to recharge between peak usage intervals. These emergency watering restrictions are enclosed with this notice. We will be monitoring water use daily and restrictions are subject to change as circumstances evolve.
This is your water system, and our investment is in jeopardy. We need your help to conserve our water. Please pay close attention to your water use. It is extremely important that everyone adheres to the emergency watering restrictions taking effect as of 16 July 2024. Abuse of the system and restrictions by some may result in the loss of all watering of lawns for everyone.
We have posted the emergency restrictions as well as several helpful water conservation tips, resources for yard maintenance and management, and links to articles on our website at www.eastgatevillage.org.
